I CANobserve (watch; notice) the video on Digital Imprint and visualize (imagine; think about) what kind of imprint I want to leave by describing (tell about; explain) details (exact items; specific) in two paragraphs with Google Docs.
Part I: Create a Google Doc, Name It, and Move It To The Correct Folder
1. Go to Apps (the colorful waffle) in the top left corner of your browser.
Click on Google Docsand then click on the blue + circle in the bottom right corner to create a new Google Doc.
2. Label your new Doc: FirstL_Digital Imprint. Example: VinnyC_Digital Resume
3. Click File–>Move to Folder–>Z Middle All (This way it is in the correct folder).
Part II: Digital Imprint
1. Read these questions before watching the video. Keep these in mind while watching…
Q1: When do you think your Digital Imprint began?
Q2: What kinds of thoughts come to mind while watching this video?
2. After watching, write a paragraph (5 sentence minimum) answering questions (Q1-Q3) below in the Google Doc you just created:
Q1. When do you think your Digital Imprint began? (You may want to ask your parents about when they began posting information about you online when you get home tonight.)
Q2. What kinds of thoughts come to mind while watching this video?
Q3. What kind of information, gaming, pictures, etc…do know has been posted about you? Think of your social media or your parents online activities too.
3. Next, Google yourself using your first and last name and hometown e.g.“John Smith, Birmingham AL”. Use quotation marks (” “) for a more accurate search. Answer these questions (Q4-Q8) in a new paragraph (5 sentence minimum) in same Doc.

Q5. Think about the specific “footprints” or information you or someone else leaves behind on websites (such as what you viewed, typed, or accessed). If this was the only information someone had about you, what would they think about you?
Q6. What assumptions would they make about your habits & behaviors?

Q8. What kind of a web presence do you want to have in the future and what can you do to ensure (to make happen) you get that?
Part III: Make a Taxedo
1. Create a Tagxedo showing your Digital Footprint based on what you do online. Click on Tagxedo to get started.
2. Select load to begin typing in words that represent your digital footprint.
3. Change the theme, font, shape, color, orientation, even change word sizes & locations, etc.
4. Click Save/Share when you are finish. Select 16MP JPG (see picture below). Save As toH: Drive–>IntroToComputer or Webdesign.
5. When it is done loading it will give you some options, select No Thanks. See the image below for an example.
6. Put a copy in Computer–>Public Data–>Chiaramonte–>(Class) Period folder.

You could easily do this with one of your favorite websites.
7. Make sure you have saved a copy in Computer–>Public Data–>Chiaramonte–>(Class) Period folder.
