5/8/15 – “First-person shooter”  A game that displays action from the player’s perspective; examples include Halo and Half-Life.

What are some “first-person shooter” games you are aware of?

I CAN. . . demonstrate (show; make plain) my understanding of basic tools in Flash Professional andsequence (put in order; put in a series) of code using ActionScript 3.0.

Finish Globaloria if you are not done.

Those who were too loud and messing with each other yesterday will work on Python in Codecademy.

7th Grade Below – Repeaters finish up Kodu:

5/8/15 – Do Now – “storage media” a place to store data and files, not in a cloud like Google Drive or Dropbox.

Provide two examples of storage media, a place to save and move data or folders:

Escape Everest

You must discover what has happened to the Earth after being asleep for 200 years. You must work together to balance environmental concerns with the demands of technological progress. You will wake up in a bunker beneath the summit of Mt. Everest. The ice caps have melted and  sea levels have risen.

You have multiple goals, some in conflict, set up a social and technological tension which must be navigated.

A balance must be negotiated. There are also several side goals and hidden chests to find. There are activities for many types of players and multiple ways to contribute…
