8th Grade: Globaloria &/or Code.org (Password on the left side of board)

4/9/15 – “Phishing” – a scheme to steal personal information by using a legitimate-looking email offer or website.

Provide one example of a Phishing scheme:

I CAN. . . examine (look at; inspect) designing tools in Flash Pro, and utilize (put to use) them to create (put together) the graphics in my game.

I CAN. . . demonstrate (show; make plain) my understanding of basic tools in Flash Professional and sequence (put in order; put in a series) of code using ActionScript 3.0.

I CAN…visualize (imagine) a clear path for a process, then organize (put in order; arrange) block commands in a program on Code.org.


Repeaters: Work on Kodu or 2-D Character Design in Flash.

Provide one example of a Phishing scheme:

I CAN…examine (look at; inspect) the lessons and information on the FBI Safe Surfing site and complete (finish; end) the exam with a score of 80% or higher.

1. Play the Digizen Interactive game, “Are you a responsible Digital Citizen?” <— Click Here

2. Go to the FBI Safe Surfing Site, scroll down a hair to find 7th Grade on click on it.

3. Click on STUDENTS in the menu bar along the top, then follow the instructions and complete lessons 1-8. DO NOT CLICK ON TAKE THE EXAM until you have completed all the lessons. You will likely be ready tomorrow. You can only take the exam once and it will count toward your grade.

4. I have your KEY CODE that you will need to take the exam, each person has a different key code.
