4/30/15 –  Do Now- “Diagram” means to label the parts of the drawing; or make a drawing, chart, or plan. Find a diagram on Google images and paste it below this Do Now.

I CAN. . . demonstrate (show; make plain) my understanding of basic tools in Flash Professional andsequence (put in order; put in a series) of code using ActionScript 3.0.

I CAN…visualize (imagine) a clear path for a process, then organize (put in order; arrange) block commands in a program on Code.org.

1. If you have finished Code.org move on to Kodu by clicking here: Kodu or go to number 2.

2. Complete the Python course in CodeCademy. Click sign up (with Google +) to save your progress.

4/29/15 – DO NOW –”Qwerty” is the layout of a standard keyboard.

Do smart phones have a “qwerty” keyboard?

If you & your partner are done with ALL four Sphero Courses you can play MinecraftEdu while I go around and check your program. This will be graded so you may want to check it.

1. Go to this site: http://outreach.cs.ua.edu/spherly/

2. Click on Run Spherely Now.

3. Open up these files and complete the pattern you see in each course by writing the program in the Spherely Browser you just opened above.

4/27/15 – DO NOW: Fairness – How does fairness relate to how teachers and/or students are treated?

I CAN. . . demonstrate (show; make plain) my understanding of Time, Speed, and Distancby calculating the movements and commands of the Sphero I programmed (put in order; put in a series) in MacroLab.

1. Intro to Sphero…MacroLab

2. Look over your assignment today Time, Speed, Distance = MacroLab1_StudentGuide. You will fill out this form as you program Sphero and get results. MacroLab1_Worksheet. I have hard copies printed out for each group.

3. Move on to Geometry Lab MacroLab2_StudentGuide. You will fill out this form as you program Sphero and get results MacroLab2_Worksheet. I have hard copies printed out for each group.

You are going to read a short article and view extremely sharp satellite images of Earth. 

After reading the article…Speculate about the use and value of being able to capture and produce such detailed images of the Earth’s surface.

Q1. What purpose(s) would these images serve?

Q2. What kind of impact will this type of technology have on the human population, ie. privacy rights?
